Pier-to-Peer (“Platform,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides an online marketplace that connects private pier and dock owners (“Hosts”) with individuals seeking temporary access (“Guests”) for recreational purposes including, but not limited to, fishing, boating, sightseeing, and relaxation.
Pier-to-Peer is not the owner, operator, lessor, or manager of any listed property. We act solely as an intermediary facilitating introductions and booking coordination.
By accessing or using Pier-to-Peer, you:
Agree to be bound by these Terms
Agree to all policies referenced herein
Acknowledge that participation is voluntary and at your own risk
If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.
You represent and warrant that:
You are 18 years of age or older
You are legally capable of entering into binding agreements under Texas law
All information submitted is truthful and accurate
Pier-to-Peer does not:
Own, lease, or control any pier or property
Employ or represent Hosts
Guarantee the condition, legality, or safety of any listing
All agreements for use of a pier are between Host and Guest directly.
Hosts set their own pricing unless otherwise specified
Pier-to-Peer may charge a service fee (typically 15%–20%)
Payments may initially be processed through third-party services such as Venmo, Cash App, or similar
You acknowledge:
Pier-to-Peer is not a payment processor or escrow service
We are not liable for failed, delayed, or disputed payments
We may assist, but are not obligated to resolve disputes
All bookings are subject to the Pier-to-Peer Cancellation Policy presented at the time of booking.
Pier-to-Peer reserves the right to make final determinations regarding refunds, rescheduling, and disputes.
Hosts agree to:
Provide accurate and truthful descriptions of their pier and amenities
Maintain a reasonably safe environment, free from known hazards
Comply with all applicable Texas laws, local ordinances, and coastal regulations, including those relevant to Rockport and Aransas County
Ensure that their property is legally permitted for the intended use
Communicate clearly and honor confirmed bookings
Hosts are solely responsible for:
Their property condition
Insurance coverage (if any)
Compliance with Texas Parks & Wildlife regulations, including fishing access and licensing requirements
Guests agree to:
Respect the Host’s property and boundaries
Follow all safety rules and posted guidelines
Comply with Texas fishing laws and licensing requirements
Not engage in illegal activity, including trespassing beyond permitted areas
Not exceed occupancy limits or misuse the property
Guests are fully responsible for:
Their conduct
Any damages caused
The safety of themselves and any minors in their care
Users acknowledge that piers, especially in coastal areas such as Rockport, Texas, present unique risks, including:
Slippery surfaces due to algae, water, or weather
Sudden changes in tide, currents, and water depth
Exposure to marine wildlife
Storms, lightning, and rapidly changing coastal weather
Structural wear due to saltwater conditions
These risks are inherent and cannot be eliminated.
By using the Platform, you knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with:
Water activities
Fishing and boating
Use of docks, piers, ladders, and surrounding structures
You agree that your participation is entirely at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted under Texas law:
Pier-to-Peer shall not be liable for:
Personal injury, death, or property damage
Accidents occurring on or near any listed property
Loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings
Actions or omissions of Hosts or Guests
Pier-to-Peer’s total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount of service fees collected for the specific booking.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pier-to-Peer, its owners, affiliates, and representatives from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
Your use of the platform
Your violation of these Terms
Injury, damage, or loss caused by you or related parties
Any disputes arising from use of the Platform shall:
First be attempted to be resolved informally
If unresolved, be governed by the laws of the State of Texas
Venue for any legal proceedings shall be in Texas courts, preferably within the jurisdiction closest to the Platform’s principal place of operation.
Pier-to-Peer reserves the right to:
Remove listings or users at any time
Refuse service without explanation
Modify pricing, fees, and policies
Suspend or terminate accounts
Pier-to-Peer does not guarantee:
Availability of listings
Accuracy of listing descriptions
Quality or safety of any experience
All use is at your own discretion.
Pier-to-Peer does not provide insurance coverage for:
Hosts
Guests
Property damage or personal injury
Users are encouraged to obtain their own insurance if desired.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
